 Calabar Police Apprehend Suspects in Armour Cable Theft from Transformers

In a significant breakthrough, the Calabar Police Command has arrested a group of suspected thieves implicated in the theft of armour cables from transformers in various locations across the city.

The suspects, whose identities have not been disclosed, were caught in the act of stealing the valuable cables, which are essential components of electrical transformers. The theft of these cables has been a recurring issue in Calabar, resulting in disruptions to power supply and economic losses for the electricity distribution company.

The police authorities have commended the swift response of their personnel, which led to the successful apprehension of the suspects. The incident is currently under investigation, and the suspects will be charged to court upon completion of the inquiry.
