 A New Era of Governance



Hon. (Ophot) Felix Akposi KSJI, Chairman of Akamkpa Local Government Council, has inaugurated the legislative arm of the council, marking a significant milestone in Akamkpa's governance. The ceremony established the 8th Legislative Assembly, renewing the commitment to legislative oversight and community service.

Hon. (Princess) Magdalene Ekpe became the first female leader of the Akamkpa Legislative Council, representing Ojuk South in Constituency 2. Hon. Dominic Akposi Ogar was sworn in as Deputy Leader of Council, while Hon. Princess Angelina Itambom and Hon. Thomas Anom took on the roles of Majority Leader and Chief Whip, respectively.

Dignitaries present included His Royal Majesty, Ophot Agbor Ewa Ebani, and commissioners from Cross River State. The Clerk of the Legislative Council, Mrs. Margate Ayendi, advised the councillors to discharge their duties with diligence and integrity.

This inauguration marks the beginning of a fresh chapter in legislative governance for Akamkpa Local Government, emphasizing unity, accountability, and service to the people.
