DEFINING THE NEXT FRONTIER FOR NIGERIAN CONTENT IMPLEMENTATION



The Special Adviser to the Governor on Local Content,,Amb.Awatt Caleb has expressed profound gratitude to His Excellency,, Governor Bassey Otu for facilitating attendance to the just concluded 13th Annual Practical Nigerian Content Forum held in Nigerian Content Development Headquarters,, Yenagoa, Bayelsa State

The forum with the theme: DEFINING THE NEXT FRONTIER FOR NIGERIAN CONTENT IMPLEMENTATION, attracted delegates and critical stakeholders in the oil and gas sector, including high profile dignitaries such as Chairman,, Senate Committee on Local Content, Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, Chairman,, Senate Committee on Local Content,,Rt.Hon.Boma Goodhead,, House Committee Chairman on Local Content,,Engr.Felix Omatasola, Executive Secretary, Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board,,Mr.Faruk Ahmed, Chief Executive,, Nigerian Midstream and Downstream Petroleum, Mr.Mele Kolo Kyari, Group Chief Executive Officer-NNPC amongst others, while the Executive Governor of Bayelsa State played host. 

 Speaking during the opening ceremony, the Executive Secretary,, Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board (NCDMB), Engr.Felix Omatasola observed that the forum has become the premier platform for convening key stakeholders across Nigeria's energy,,oil and gas sector. He further provided details on the Boards objectives in line with the Presidential Directives on Local Content Compliance.

 Similarly,, the Special Adviser, Ambassador Awatt Caleb during a special technical session,, engaged in separate investments discouse with the Chairman,, Petroleum Export Association of Nigeria,Engr. Wole Ogunsanya and Mr Threrry Bloch, Chairman,Buildwall Plant and Equipment Industries on investment delivery and engagement in cross river state.

According to him,, the forum revealed opportunities in the entire industry value chain,, deepen the Nigerian Content Practices and also present frontiers for Nigerian Content Implementation. He also swed for corporation among critical stakeholders in the state in ensuring that the People First Mantra of Governor Bassey Otu is actualise through local participation, ultimately leading to socio-economic growth of the State.
