In a monumental feat, the People First Administration of Senator Prince Bassey Edet Otu has successfully embarked on the construction of the long abandoned 28.9km Oban-Nsan road, connecting major communities in Akamkpa 1 and II.
Decades of neglect and dilapidation had rendered the route impassable, plaguing residents and commuters with untold hardship. However, Senator Otu's unwavering commitment to delivering on his campaign promises has brought hope and relief to the people.
Special commendation goes to the Commissioner of Works, Hon. Ankpor Pius Edet and the member representing Akamkpa 1 state constituency Ntufam Okon Owuna for their tireless efforts in overseeing the project's execution and ensuring its timely completion.
The project, is handle by indigenous company FaithPlant Global - Int'l Services Limited, underscores the administration's commitment to promoting local content and stimulating internal economic growth.
In a statement by the governor, OTU was thrilled to see that the project is near completion. It's a testament to our administration's commitment to improving the lives of our people. The Construction is nearing completion, with significant progress reported as when we visited the area. According to information, the project is expected to be completed within the stipulated timeframe.
